Shares
A share is a single unit of ownership in a company or financial asset.
- Redeemable
These are ordinary member shares which can be redeemed when a member decides to withdraw from the Sacco. One month notice is supposed to be given when withdrawing membership. Every member is required to contribute monthly a minimum of K10,000.00 as shares.
- Non-redeemable
These are permanent savings in the Sacco required by the Reserve Bank law and cannot be redeemed when a member withdraws membership, but can be sold to another member.
